So as you all know, I’m a huge fan of my Vitamix blender. In fact, it often travels with us on our family vacations. This week we brought it with us to the beach. I decided to try something a little different than my usual family friendly smoothie recipes, and stumbled up the most delicious Whole Fruit Margarita recipe. I did change up the recipe a bit and decided not use ice in blending and instead served the Margaritas over ice. These margaritas were a hit among all the adults, REFRESHING! Enjoy!
Ingredients
1/4 cup (60ml) water
6 ounces (180ml) tequila (I used Patron Silver)
2 ounces (60ml) cointreau
1 medium orange peeled
1 lime, peeled
1 lemon, peeled, halved, seeded
1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons organic sugar
*optional: 6 cups ice cubes if you want a “frozen” margarita
Directions
Blend, pour over ice and enjoy!
Yield: 6 cups
(I doubled the recipe and added in an extra orange, using 3 oranges to serve 6 adults two rounds, yielding close to 12 cups)
