Welcome to Heart Healthy Eats! Thanks to many recipe requests from friends & family, I am launching this healthy living blog to share healthy recipes and nutrition tips. I believe the body serves us each and every day, and in order to reach our potential, we must take care of it.
Three years ago I made the decision to become Vegetarian. Many people ask me why and I guess my answer would be for my health, for the environment and for the animals. At the beginning of 2012 I made the decision to introduce 1-2 Vegan meals into the menu each week. Since then, the kitchen has become my favorite room in the house (not that I’ve had any other choice since the birth of my children). I enjoy experimenting with all sorts of food. It has been a challenge of sorts, but surprisingly flavorful and easy. So with that, the recipes I share will be simple and I will notate family friendly meals. Also, I will share our smoothie creations which are a hit for the whole family!
